The Thomas family and the arrival of Jolly

This family was a reputed family in that area, because they were quite advanced in education, jobs, and wealth.


In 1996, Roy, the eldest son of the family, went to a family party at his uncle Matthew Mancherdile's and met Jolly Joseph. They fell in love at first sight and started talking.


Roy's father Tom Thomas was against this relationship because Jolly was a relative of the Thomas family's bad relationship. But Roy did not listen to his father's prohibition because he was very serious about this relationship. Roy then convinced his father that Jolly was a very good girl, she was very talented, she had completed her MA. Roy's father Tom and his mother Anamma were both associated with the world of education. When they came to know about Jolly's educational background from Roy, they agreed to it. Finally, a year later, in 1997, Jolly and Roy got married.

After a few days of marriage, Anamma started pressuring Jolly for a job. Because she thought that Jolly was a highly educated girl and she should not sit at home and manage the family, but on the contrary, she should work. But Jolly was not interested in a job, she showed more interest in household chores. In the midst of all this, Roy and Jolly's first child, Remo, was born. For the first year or two after having this child, Anamma did not pressurize Jolly to get a job. But as Remu grew up, Anamma started pressuring her again. One day, Anamma told Jolly that she would talk to her father about why Jolly did not want to get a job. Jolly did not want anyone from Roy's family to talk to her family about her education.

The First Murder: The Mysterious Death of Anamma Thomas

The rest of the family members rushed her to the hospital, but Anamma died within five minutes of reaching there. However, after Anamma's death, a strange change occurred in Jolly. She devoted herself more to the family than before. Jolly started doing all the work that Anamma used to do when she was alive and gradually she took over the entire authority of the Thomas family. In the midst of all this, Roy's sister Renji got married in 2005 and Jolly was handling all the work of this marriage alone and gradually a positive image of Jolly started to be created. However, even in this, Jolly understood one thing that if she wanted to create her own identity in the society, she would not only have to manage the house or the family, she would have to do a good job because Anamma's mother was a school teacher and for this the people of her village and her family respected her a lot. Then one day Jolly came to her father-in-law and told him that she had got a job as a guest lecturer in NIT, one of the famous educational institutions of Kerala.
And with this news, not only Jolly's family but also the people of the entire area were very happy and after that Jolly's respect in the society increased a lot and From then on, Jolly was managing both her job and her family. During this time, another person entered Jolly's life and he was her husband Roy's cousin, Ms. Mathew. Ms. Mathew worked in a gold shop in Thiruvananthapuram and gradually a relationship developed between Jolly and Mathew. He often came to Jolly's house on various pretexts and spent hours and hours with her and this was something that Jolly's father-in-law, Tom Thomas, did not like at all. He repeatedly warned Jolly not to mix with Matthew but Jolly did not pay much attention to any of their words and in this way almost three more years passed and as he grew older, Tom's energy gradually decreased and for this reason he took mushroom tablets every day to keep himself fit but he could not even think that this tablet could end his life one day. In the year 2008, Jolly gave her father-in-law a mushroom tablet as usual but along with taking that tablet Immediately, Tom Thomas's whole body started to feel unbearable pain and he fell unconscious in front of his washroom. Jolly quickly called the neighbors and took Tom to the hospital, but Tom died before they reached there. Since Tom was very old, like Anna, the doctors also said that Tom's cause of death was a heart attack and everyone accepted it as a natural death. 


And let me tell you that neither Tom nor Anamma were postmortemed because according to Christianity, it is considered impure to mutilate a person's body after death. And since there was a gap of about six years between the deaths of Anamma and Tom, no one suspected that there could be any other reason behind their death. And after Tom's death, Roy and Jolie took complete control of the house. About two years after Tom's death, Roy and Jolie called Rojo and Renji one day and placed a will in front of them in which it was written that before Tom died, he had written all the property of this family in the name of his eldest son Roy and his wife Jolly. But Renji noticed that the will had no signature of any witness or any stamp paper. And when he asked Roy about this, Roy and Jolie left without answering. Renji suspected that Roy and Jolie might be trying to deprive them of the property. A few days later, Rojo called his sister Renji and said that Jolie was from Roy. Wanting a divorce but the question is what happened between Jolly and Roy that they are now filing for divorce
In 2010 i.e. after almost 13 years of Roy and Jolly's marriage their second child Ronaldo was born but Roy could not be completely happy because by then he had come to know everything about Jolly and Matthew's relationship and this often caused unrest between Jolly and Roy and as a result Roy was gradually going into depression
One evening in 2011 Roy returned home from office and in the night he had dinner with rice and chana masala and after that suddenly his body started feeling sick he quickly went to the bathroom to control himself and after a long time Roy did not come out of the bathroom Jolly knocked on the door but the door did not open then Jolly and they called a neighbor and broke the bathroom door and they saw Roy lying senseless on the bathroom table and in the meantime Roy's uncle Uncle Matthew came there and he quickly took Roy Go to the hospital but Roy dies within a few minutes of reaching the hospital. At first, Roy's friends and family members thought that Roy might have had a heart attack like his parents and as a result he died. Even Jolin himself was saying the same thing.
That Roy might have had a heart attack but one person did not believe all these words and he was Roy's uncle Matthew Manchadil and I hope you remember that Roy and Jolly met for the first time at this Matthew Manchadil's house and there are two Matthews in this story one Matthew with whom Jolly had an affair and the other Matthew is this Matthew Manchadil so we will call Matthew Manchadil as Uncle Matthew in this video Uncle Matthew thought that his nephew's death could not be a natural death in any way


Because before this, Roy's father and mother Anamma also died in the same way and all these three deaths happened in a gap of just nine years and during these three deaths, somehow Jolly was by their side, so he decided to go against the family and society and send Roy's body for postmortem and what came out in that report shocked everyone in the family because it said that Roy's death was not due to a heart attack but due to cyanide poisoning, that is, Roy died of poisoning. But before anyone could suspect anything about it, Jolly turned the whole thing around and told everyone that Roy had a lot of debt in the market so he might have ended his life to save himself from humiliation and at that time, the people of his area trusted Jolly very much and loved her so everyone accepted her words and surprisingly the police also accepted it as a natural death without doing any investigation but think about the fact that Roy used to get so much money from people. After Roy's death, none of them ever came to his house within a year of Roy's death. In 2012, Jolly again claimed the Thomas family property which had both stamp paper and witness signatures but Jolly had already placed a will in front of Renji and Rojo before then where did the new will come from and how did the signature of Tom Thomas who is dead come in this new will? Renji and Rojo both understood Jolly's real intention. They showed them the copy of the first will they had.
This time they called their relatives and showed them the two wills side by side and it was proved there that neither of the two wills was original and in the midst of all this Rojo went to the local panchayat office and cancelled Jolly's ownership and despite committing such a big crime Renji and Rojo forgave Jolly thinking that if she goes to jail she will raise her children but Uncle Matthew still had doubts about his nephew's death he was trying to gather evidence against Jolly in various ways and even asked him repeatedly about Jolly's relationship with Ms. Matthew. He was giving warnings and in the midst of all this, on May 1, 2014, Renji got a call from Jolly. Jolly said that she was calling from the hospital and that Uncle Matthew was no longer alive. Renji was completely shocked to hear this because he had spoken to Uncle Matthew just two hours earlier and this time Jolly again covered up the whole thing by telling the story of the heart attack.

But one thing came to light that shortly before her death, Jolly went to Uncle Matthew's house and she went when Uncle Matthew was completely alone in his house. Not only that, Jolly called everyone and informed them about her death. You will be surprised to know that even after Uncle Matthew's death, no one demanded his postmortem, where just three years ago, Uncle Matthew's nephew was poisoned to death. And then the story enters. After losing Saju, a cousin of Roy Thomas, Zakariya's husband, Jolly was completely distraught. Saju often came to her house to console her and slowly he started making a place in Jolly's heart. And a new relationship began between them. But apart from talking, there was another reason why Jolly was attracted to Saju because Saju was a school teacher and his respect in the society was very high. And let me tell you, Saju was already married and not only that, he had two sons and a daughter. And after all this, he got into an illegal relationship with Jolly. Within a few months of Matthew's death, the Thomas family had gone to a local church for Saju's son Abel Zacharias' Holy Communion. Among them was Abel's sister, Alfine, who was only two years old. Alfine was walking around the church on the lap of her mother, Saju's wife, Sili. After a while, Sili fed her daughter a bottle of milk, but after eating the milk, Alfine started to choke. At first, everyone thought that some food might be stuck in her throat, which was why Alfine was having difficulty breathing. She was rushed to the hospital and put on ventilator support.
But all the doctors' efforts failed and she died. And let's say that Alfine was only two years old and no one thought about a postmortem at that time because of the death of such a young child. Saju's wife Sili was mentally broken day by day, seeing her child die in front of her eyes. At this time, Jolly came to her side and started feeding her mushroom tablets to increase her energy, which her father-in-law Tom had given her. While Thomas was living with Jhola, Shili slowly returned to her normal life. A good bond was formed between the two. Whenever Shili went anywhere from home, Jolly would stay with her. On January 11, 2016, Shili and Jolly went to the dentist's chamber and while sitting in this chamber, Jolly gave Shili a mushroom tablet to eat.
And after eating the tablet, Shili's body started to have unusual cramps and she died while writhing there. The doctors wanted to do a postmortem of Shili at that time, but you will be surprised to know that at this time Shili's husband Saju objected and said that the reason was religious reasons. When Shili's last rites were being performed, Roy's sister Renji noticed that there were several changes in Jolie's body language. She was showing that she was very sad but her half-heartedness was not showing it.


And then a question started coming to Renji's mind that Jolly was not behind this death again, but Renji did not have the evidence to prove such a big allegation, but less than a year after Shili's death, Saju and Jolly got married in 2017, and this changed Renji's suspicions and one thing struck him that how can every person die in the same way? After that, he brought Roy's postmortem report from his brother Rojo. He started reading the postmortem report very carefully and in that report he found something that revealed the whole incident. And this was the turning point of this case. According to the postmortem report, Roy died at 1:30 am and cyanide is a poison that starts working as soon as it enters your body and the person dies within just a few minutes, meaning Roy had consumed poison that night and the report also stated that rice and chana masala were found in Roy's stomach, but Jolly told everyone that Her husband had his last meal at noon that day, he told Even Renji the same thing, but if Roy had eaten lunch, that meal would not have been digested, his food would not have been in his stomach, but the report says that there was food in Roy's dead body, which means that Jolly lied to everyone that day. The question is why did Renji meet some police officers to find out the truth and tell them his suspicions? The police and Renji started investigating the case anew, keeping in mind the theory of Renji. First, they sent one of their teams to Calicut, where she told everyone in the house that she was working, but the police went to NIT and found out that no one named Jolly Joseph had ever worked there.
Then, when they started showing Jolly's photo to the people on campus, one or two of them said that this woman used to come to the campus canteen occasionally and spend time there. And that's not all. When the police checked Jolly's educational background, they were shocked. Jolly told everyone before marriage that she had completed her MA, but her Her educational qualification was only 12th pass. All the certificates she had for her MA were fake. Is this why when Anamma wanted to talk to Jolly's father about her job, Jolly didn't want to? And think about it, Jolly lived under the shelter of a false story for 17 years. For these 17 years, she would leave her house every day to go to college and return home on time. In fact, Jolly's main target was the social status of the Thomas family and their property. The police, seeing Jolly's fake certificate, arrested her. The suspicions deepened, the police went to the cemetery where each member of the Thomas family was buried, but here they had two challenges. First, the graves were so old that there was doubt whether their chemical analysis could be done properly. On top of that, when Rojo and Renji wanted to reopen the entire case, the entire village came against them. Despite all these obstacles, on October 4, 2019, the police reached the graveyard in Kudathai village with the permission of the Kerala High Court and collected the remains of the six victims. When the forensic reports came out, there were no signs of poison on the four bodies, but signs of cyanide poisoning were found on the bodies of Roy and Seely. But Jolly was not going to give up so easily. She also started playing various emotional games. Even tried to stop Rojo and Renji by putting her sons in front of her, and then Renji killed Jolly's eldest son Remo. Trying to convince that her MS is involved in all the deaths and when Remo holds Jolly down a little, Jolly confesses to everything that she did all those murders. Then the day comes, October 18, 2019. Jolly is arrested on that day and the police search Jolly's house and recover a bottle of cyanide. But here a question arises that where did Jolly get the cyanide from because cyanide is such a poison that you cannot easily find it in the market. In the middle of the video, I told you that Jolly had a lover, Ms. Mathew, who works in a gold shop and cyanide is used to make this gold shiny and the police think that Jolly had procured this cyanide through Ms. Mathew, so the police arrested Ms. Mathew along with Jolly.


However, after Jolly's arrest, Jolly's second husband Saju stood by Jolly and said that Rojo and Renji had falsely accused him to deprive Jolly of the property and on March 6, 2023, this The trial of the case began and the case is still ongoing. During this case, Renji went to the prison one day to meet Jolly and when he asked Jolly how she could kill six people, Jolly replied with only one thing that God forgives everyone, he will forgive me too. However, there were several loopholes in the entire case, such as how could Jolly, who can be called a professional killer, keep a bottle of cyanide with him for 14 years after committing so many murders? Second, when Jolly and Saju were having an affair, did Shili not suspect them for once and if she did, why did Shili maintain her relationship with Jolly until the last day?
